Klein ISD was named one of only twenty Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Districts of Distinction in 2019. This unique honor recognizes the top 2 percent of districts in the state for their outstanding leadership and promotion of the arts in their district and community.

“Klein ISD has set the standard for visual arts advice, integrated visual arts curriculum and creativity. This is a high honor. The award is a testament to the skill, perseverance, and vision for a well-rounded education for this winning school district.”

Chair of the Administration and Supervision Division of TAEA Dr. Michaelann Kelley

This recognition is the result of endless dedication and passion from teachers, students, and staff, and we are proud to be on the forefront of the best education in the fine arts.

Two High School Theatre Productions receive four Tommy Tune Awards

“It was such surreal moment to see the other incredibly talented recipients that joined me on stage and to look out at the thousands of people cheering for us. It served as a reminder to always work passionately at what I care about because passion breeds both success and happiness.”

Best Community

for Music Education

Klein ISD recognizes the values of offering and continually nurturing

and growing a comprehensive fine arts program. Through the unwavering support and passion of our teachers, staff, students, and community, we consistently bring home distinctions that prove Klein ISD is the best place to live, work, learn, and perform for the arts.

For example, Hofius Intermediate’s Fine Arts programs swept the competition in the schools’s first-ever UIL competition season. As a first-year school, the band, choir, and orchestra groups all brought home trophies for earning sweepstakes.

“That constant push and grind of wanting to get better has

Been really inspiring and taught me how to make better

Friendships and work as a team.”

Hofius Student and Cello Player RJ Lux
